After talks fell apart on a deal that would have brought Doc Rivers and Kevin Garnett to the Clips, discussion has reportedly reopened with a nudge from Chris Paul.
MOMENTARY LAPSE
The Miami sharpshooter says his former team could have had a greater sense of urgency in their Finals Game 7 loss against the Lakers in 2010.
From Los Angeles NBA writer Mark Heisler:

(Note: This was written on Tuesday the 18th, by which time sources had reported the Clippers walking away from trade talks and Danny Ainge himself declared the trade “dead.” But as far as I know, an hour after publication the trade may end up happening, rendering this article useless. A deal between the Clippers and Celtics that would deliver head coach Doc Rivers and veteran Kevin Garnett to Los Angeles reportedly is no longer a possibility.
Danny Ainge confirms to the @BostonGlobe that the proposed Clippers-Celtics deal is, in fact, dead.

Baxter Holmes, the Globe Celtics beat writer posted this tweet to indicate that Danny has confirmed the reports from the Left Coast that the negotiations have broken off. Danny doesn't want to budge from his request for 2 first...

After pushing for the Clippers to take back long-term contracts, the Celtics relented and have shown willingness to complete the deal for DeAndre Jordan and two first-round draft picks, sources said. The Clippers...
I couldn’t believe it. The Celtics, who had the second-worst record in the league after the 2006-07 season, were once again in position to either pick No. 1 or 2 in the draft. It’s like the basketball gods finally realized the error of their ways, when the C’s were in position to pick first in the 1997 draft and select Tim Duncan, only to settle for the No. 3 pick in the form...
