Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer has made it happen in the NCAA transfer portal.
The Crimson Tide grabbed a commitment from a Lou Groza Award-winning placekicker.
Graham Nicholson, a former standout at the University of Miami at Ohio, said yes to the Tide. He beat out Will Reichard for the Groza honor in 2023, making 27 of 28 field goals and 35 of 37 extra point attempts. Nicholson made first-team All-Mid American Conference, MAC Special Teams Player of the Year, and Consensus All-American last season. He assisted the Red Hawks to an 11 wins in 2023, but now he looks to help Alabama. James Burnip, a senior punter, is excited about having Nicholson join the team.
The native Australian posted ‘Let’s get to work brotha’ on his X profile after seeing the news. Burnip averaged nearly 48 yards per punt (47.5) last year. He has one part of the kicking game down; however, he is overjoyed to have experienced help with him.
