"Who's going to step up at receiver for Clemson?"

It was one of the biggest talking points surrounding Clemson this offseason. The Tigers have been searching for a go-to guy for a couple of years, and while they have a number of veterans, no one had separated themselves from the pack. Enter Tyler Brown.

The true freshman out of Greeneville, South Carolina has exploded on the scene the past few weeks, culminating with his breakout 153-yard performance at Syracuse. Brown's play earned him his second ACC Rookie of the Week and first ACC Receiver of the Week.

"Tyler brown, just a tremendous tremendous performance," said Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney following the win at Syracuse. "He's just gotten better and better each week. He plays hard without the ball and, you know, really has a good feel for the scramble drill."

Brown recorded career highs in receptions (nine) and receiving yards (153), and his 153 receiving yards were the most by a Clemson true freshman since Justyn Ross’ 153 yards against Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game to conclude the 2018 season. Brown became only the seventh player in Clemson history to record a 100-yard receiving game within the first five games of a career. - Clemson Athletics

Clemson and Cade Klubnik will be relying on Brown again as they welcome Wake Forest in for Homecoming on Saturday.
