MLB parlay for Tue. 9/27 focuses on AL Central

We've done a lot of parlays this year. And some have hit, and some have not. But you know what? That doesn't mean we're going to stop.

And why should we? There's less than two weeks remaining in the regular season — might as well go out with a bang.

The Cleveland Guardians clinched the AL Central over the weekend after sweeping the Texas Rangers on Sunday, and the Chicago White Sox have dropped six straight. So, we're going to include both in our parlay.

Instead of taking the Guardians to win and the White Sox to lose, we're going to take the Guardians +1.5 on the runline against the Tampa Bay Rays and the Minnesota Twins +1.5 on the runline against the Chicago White Sox.

The Guardians locked up the AL Central already, but they're the hottest team in baseball. Taking Cleveland on the moneyline is a good bet, but a less risky bet, yet just as efficient, is the Guardians +1.5 on the runline.

Cleveland has won seven straight and have won a league-best 18 games in September. And starter Shane Bieber is pitching better now than he has all season. Bieber has recorded 11 straight quality starts and is 8-2 with a 1.75 ERA over his last 11 starts. As for the Cleveland offense, they've scored the fifth most runs in September and leadoff hitter Steven Kwan is the reigning AL Player of the Week and has reached base safely in nine straight games.

Meanwhile, the Rays are just 12-12 in September, have lost back-to-back games and starter Corey Kluber has allowed at least four runs in two of his last three starts. Not exactly an ideal time for Tampa Bay to face Cleveland, which is why we like the Guardians +1.5 on the runline.

As for the White Sox, they've been awful as of late. So much for the White Sox winning the AL Central. Sorry, friends. I was wrong about that.

Chicago has dropped six straight and you just can't trust that offense to score enough to win games. Taking Minnesota on the moneyline is a solid bet, but just to be safe, we're taking the Twins +1.5 on the runline. The Twins have been trash as of late too, but they always play the White Sox tough. Even if they don't win, expect them to be within a run.

Minnesota is 7-6 against Chicago this season, and starter Bailey Ober hasn't allowed more than three runs in both of his starts this month. Meanwhile, the White Sox shut down budding superstar Luis Robert for the rest of the season, and are just waiting for the season to end. In a matchup of two teams playing bad baseball, expect both to continue to play badly, which should result in a one-run game.

The Bet: Cleveland Guardians +1.5 AND Minnesota Twins +1.5 (+121 odds via DraftKings)
