Norris Cole most recently played in the NBA during the 2016-17 season when he appeared in 13 games for the Oklahoma City Thunder.   

That season, he averaged 3.3 points and 1.1 assists per contest.  

Last year, the 35-year-old played in the G League for the Grand Rapids Gold (the affiliate of the Denver Nuggets).  

Cole has been a free agent, and on Thursday, G League Ignite announced that they have signed the six-year NBA veteran.

Cole was initially the 28th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft out of Cleveland State.

In each of his first two seasons, he was a key player on the Miami Heat, who won back-to-back NBA Championships.

Over Cole's six seasons in the league, he played for the Heat, Thunder and Pelicans.

His carer averages are 7.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per contest while shooting 40.7% from the field and 32.4% from the three-point range in 360 regular season games.

He has also appeared in 68 NBA playoff games and averaged 4.3 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per contest while shooting 42.1% from the field and 38.2% from the three-point range. 

At his age, it's likely that Cole's NBA career is over, but he will be an intriguing name to watch in the G League this season.
