Giannis Antetokounmpo delivers strong message to youth

On Tuesday, Giannis posted a video of himself on Twitter wherein he is seen delivering an inspirational message during a recent youth basketball camp. Antetokounmpo spoke from the heart as he hoped to influence the way these young kids see the game of basketball:

“I was at your age one time,” Giannid said. “What are you, 15, 16 right? Number one, when somebody comes into your basketball court, where you practice, you try to showcase. You have nothing to prove to nobody. Nobody. Okay, me, whenever I step on the court, I never disrespect the game of basketball. I never. I don’t care if there’s cameras. I don’t care what we’re doing. Basketball is basketball and I will try to help you guys as much as people helped me before.”

I see no lies here. The game of basketball is sacred for Giannis, and he shows it whenever he steps on the court. He’s already done it all throughout what has been a decorated NBA career, and at this point, he is also looking to leave a legacy behind for the younger generation of hopefuls.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Provides Snaek Peak of Coaching Potential

It’s not all talk for Giannis Antetokounmpo. When he said he wants to help these kids as much as he can, he meant it. On Sunday, the Bucks superstar also shared a video of himself coaching up the youngsters in camp:

Does Giannis Antetokounmpo have a future in coaching? He still has a long way to go before he hangs up his basketball shoes, but based on this brief preview, it does seem like coaching could be on the horizon for the 28-year-old. He has a deep understanding of the ins and outs of the game, and nobody can question the passion he brings to the table. I guess we will find out in the next decade or so.
