The Miami Heat outperformed even the highest expectations this season, taking down the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics on their way to a loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Finals. The team is expected to try and improve their roster even more by acquiring a star player, but according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, Victor Oladipo is not the guy they have their sights set on.
"Oladipo has been connected to Miami for months now ... my feel is that Miami has their eye on bigger fish," Windhorst explained on "The Hoop Collective." "I’m not sure that the interest from Miami is as high as the interest from Oladipo."

So if Oladipo is not the piece Miami is hoping to add, who is the "bigger fish" they hope to reel in? The obvious answer is two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is set to become a free agent after the season. The Athletic's Shams Charania says that the Heat are "preparing to go all-in" in their pursuit of Giannis, though they are sure to have plenty of competition, as Giannis would be the biggest free agent since Kevin Durant left Oklahoma City.
As for Oladipo, rumors have swirled that the two-time All-Star is unhappy with the Pacers and wants to head elsewhere either via trade or free agency. But Oladipo has shut down any rumors of him forcing his way out of Indiana, saying that he "can't control the rumors" and is just focused on "trying to get right for next year."
