Spurs add Keldon Johnson, Derrick White, two others to health and safety protocols

The San Antonio Spurs reportedly made a flurry of moves on Thursday in order to tackle their recent issues with COVID-19.

Wojnarowski also reported that the Spurs were signing guard Tyler Johnson to a 10-day contract. San Antonio is currently holding on to the 10th spot in the Western Conference at 15-22 and play the Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. ET on Friday.

Keldon Johnson ranks second on the team in points (14.7) and minutes per game (30.9), while Derrick White is second in assists (5.5) and steals per game (1.2) and third in scoring (14.5).

Tyler Johnson has posted 9.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game over 351 career contests, including 3.7 points and 2.0 rebounds per game in three tilts with the Philadelphia 76ers this season. Anthony Lamb went undrafted in 2020, spent time in the Detroit Pistons organization last season and was subsequently selected by the Canton Charge of the NBA G League in the G League draft.

Lamb was traded to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in February 2021 and was later named the G League's Most Improved Player. Lamb signed a two-way contract with the Houston Rockets in March 2021 and played 24 contests with the team last season, averaging 5.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 17.3 minutes per game.
