Warriors center Marquese Chriss to miss remainder of season with broken leg

The Golden State Warriors were dealt a painful blow on Sunday with the loss of Marquese Chriss.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Chriss will miss the remainder of the 2020-21 season with a broken leg. In two games this season, the center is averaging 6.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and one assist per game while shooting 35.7 percent from the field.

The Warriors have had just three centers active this season: Chriss, James Wiseman and Kevon Looney. Golden State will have to either acquire another center or rely on Alen Smailagić as its third-stringer at the position.

It's unclear how Chriss broke his leg. He didn't leave Friday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks with any known injuries.
