Watch: Derrick Jones Jr. posterizes Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo may be a former MVP, but he was no match for former dunk contest champion Derrick Jones Jr. on Friday.

Jones got up and put Antetokounmpo on a poster in the Bulls' game against the Bucks on Friday night. The play came in the final minutes of the third quarter.

With Chicago leading 81-76, Nikola Vucevic passed to rookie Ayo Dosunmu at the top of the key. Dosunmu took one dribble before bouncing a nice pass past Khris Middleton, hitting Jones directly in stride as he ran in from the perimeter.

Jones, who has a reputation as a highflyer, took off from just inside the paint and threw down an absolute monster jam on Antetokounmpo, whose attempt to block the dunk came up short.

While he's best known for his dunks, Jones has been more than just a big leaper for the Bulls this season. He entered Friday averaging 5.9 points and 3.4 rebounds per game over 38 appearances in 2021. He's provided an uber-athletic presence at the forward possession, something that has been especially valuable in the absence of the injured Patrick Williams.

Chicago went into the contest leading Milwaukee by one game in the Eastern Conference standings, sitting in third place at 39-24.
