Watch: Unbelievable sequence helps Knicks steal Game 2

The Sixers looked like they had Game 2 in command. But a big three-pointer, a big steal and a fortunate bounce gave the Knicks a 104-101 win and a 2-0 series lead.

Jalen Brunson bounced in a three-pointer, Josh Hart stole an inbounds pass and Isaiah Hartenstein grabbed a huge offensive rebound to set up Donte DiVincenzo's game-winner with 13 seconds left.

The Sixers had two chances to answer, but Hartenstein blocked Tyrese Maxey's layup. Then, after two OG Anunoby free throws, Joel Embiid missed a potential game-tying shot.

Overall, the Knicks scored eight points in the game's final 28 seconds to stun Philadelphia. In a game where Embiid looked visibly slowed by his injured knee, he still managed to score 34 points and grab 11 rebounds. But it was Maxey who looked like he'd help the 76ers steal home-court advantage with 35 points, including 15 in the final quarter.

But down the stretch, Maxey hurt Philly with a turnover and a rejected shot. If he'd secured the ball or finished the layup, the 76ers would have seized the series momentum heading home. Instead, they're left wondering what might have been if they'd managed to get a rebound, an in-bounds pass or a lucky bounce of their own.

Perhaps Philadelphia just can't win with playoff bounces.
