Bolts Cut Practice Squad Fullback To Accommodate New Signing
USA TODAY Sports

Your Los Angeles Chargers have released fullback Zander Horvath from their practice squad, per Daniel Popper of The Athletic

This will serve as a corresponding move with their addition earlier in the day of offensive lineman Austen Pleasants

LA has seen multiple injuries affect their linemen, and the addition of Pleasants should help provide a bit of insurance on this front. It remains to be seen if he gets activated for their game this weekend, but having him provides more depth if needed.

Horvath spent last season with the Bolts, logging 15 games. He had five catches. eight yards and two touchdowns on the year for the Chargers

LA has a very small path to qualifying for the postseason this year, but they can't overlook the lowly New England Patriots this weekend. They have to come out strong in the game and set the tone early on.

Even with the Patriots being one of the worst teams in the league, playing in Foxborough will be no joke for the Bolts. The Patriots have one of the best home-field advantages in the entire NFL, so the Chargers will need to come prepared.
