The 2024 NFL Draft is just days away, yet a notable Indianapolis Colts top-30 visit wasn't leaked until today.
According to Justin Melo of The Draft Network , the Colts were one of many teams to host South Carolina WR Xavier Legette for a visit ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Legette began his college career in 2019 and spent all five of his collegiate career at South Carolina. During his first four seasons, he only recorded 42 catches, 423 yards, and five touchdowns and started just 20 games. His career highs at that point in a season were all set in 2022, with 18 catches, 167 yards, and three touchdowns. I think its fair to say these numbers for a four-year player didn't have him on many people's radar for the NFL./
That all changed last season, with Legette starting a career-high 12 games, recording career highs across the board, surpassing his first four seasons combined with 71 catches, 1,255 yards, and seven touchdowns. This drastic jump in production led to him being named Secon Team All-SEC, and he is now projected to hear his name called in the top 50 picks of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Legette began his draft cycle as a standout during the week of practice at the 2024 Senior Bowl and followed it up with a strong performance at the Scouting Combine, where he recorded a 4.39 40-yard dash, a 40" vertical and a 10'6" broad jump. All of which would check the Colts' important athleticism threshold box.
Xavier Legette is a WR prospect in the 2024 draft class. He scored a 9.90 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 36 out of 3402 WR from 1987 to 2024. https://t.co/omjp4mPZep pic.twitter.com/bHM5qRgtax

The Colts own pick 15 in the first round and pick 46 in the 2nd. If they were to draft Legette, it would need to come in one of those rounds. If they were to take him in round one, I have to assume it would come after a trade back, and I honestly think it would need to be a trade back that dropped them out of the top 25. But if they attempt to wait till the second round, they could miss out with multiple WR-needy teams ahead of them, which makes me think they would have to trade up from 46 to land Legette.
