Watch: Marshawn Lynch Visits Amish Country
USA TODAY Sports

Former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch found a new way to pick up yards in his return to Amazon Prime Video's "Thursday Night Football" coverage.

Lynch took to a horse-and-buggy in the latest edition of "'N Yo City," a TNF pregame segment that features the Super Bowl champion and Skittles-lover making his way through game day locales in Prime's destination of the week. With TNF descending upon Philadelphia to cover the local Eagles' Week 2-opening tilt against the Minnesota Vikings, Lynch made his way to Amish Country, namely the town of Intercourse, PA (which the opening titles of the segment confirm is, indeed, a "real place").

The former Seahawk spends time with an Amish couple in the segment, which begins with his amusement over traveling "Amish style. Greeted by matriarch Miriam, Lynch dons a straw hat and puts his feet to get the lay of the land en route to one of Intercourse's many barns. Along the way, Lynch laments there's no music in the buggy despite a $15,000 price tag prompting him to search for the music video of "Weird Al" Yankovic's parody single "Amish Paradise," though his hosts' way of life prevent them from watching.

Upon arriving at the barn, Lynch apparently failed to understand the assignment, expressing an immediate reluctance to dirty his sneakers as he's invited to help milk cows. Further amusement awaits Lynch, who is impressed that Miriam and Co. are able to earn 8-10 gallons of milk from each cow daily ("There's hella milk in those cows, then!").

Though the Amish are well-known for not using electricity, Lynch playfully calls out Miriam, who shows him a loophole in the form of wireless LED lighting.

"You Amish people think y'all slick, man!" Lynch humorously chides. "Y'all be cutting corners!"

Despite his relative fears, Lynch appeared to enjoy himself in Intercourse.

"Weird Al Yankovic didn't put me on like I needed to be put on," he comments once back in the buggy.

Lynch is due to return to the streaming waves this coming Thursday as TNF moves to the Bay Area to cover the tilt between the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers (8:15 p.m. ET, Amazon Prime Video). The Seahawks are set to partake in the Week 13 edition on Nov. 30 when they visit the Dallas Cowboys.
