Roman Josi scored two goals just over five minutes apart in the third period to help lift the Nashville Predators  to a 4-1 win over the Seattle Kraken on Saturday.

The win extended the Predators' point streak to 14 games (12-0-2), tying the second-longest such streak in franchise history set in 2015-16.

With the score locked at one goal apiece, Yanni Gourde was whistled for tripping against Cole Smith early in the third period; Josi put Nashville back ahead 2-1 just nine seconds into the power play, scoring on a rebound of Filip Forsberg’s shot at the bottom of the right circle.

Just over five minutes later, Josi extended Nashville's lead to 3-1 at even strength on a one-timer from the point.

Josi has 18 points (six goals, 12 assists) and a +16 rating over the team's active 14-game point streak, and he is climbing franchise leaderboards in the process. With two assists in a 4-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Oct. 13, he became the first player in Predators history to reach 100 career multi-assist games.

Josi is now tied with Colorado's Cale Makar for the most goals by an NHL defenseman (17). His 67 total points are tied for the third-most among all league blueliners. With fewer than 20 games remaining in the regular season, it's time to start including his name in the Norris Trophy conversation. He received the fourth-most points in a recent NHL.com poll, but his performance down the stretch could be enough to launch him into finalist territory.
