Russian tennis ace Daniil Medvedev has revealed Jannik Sinner ‘s hidden talent for football. While everyone already knows about Sinner’s prowess in tennis, Medvedev revealed that the Italian is a good football player as well. However, Medvedev has clarified that he has yet to see the Italian’s mastery of the sport.

In a recent interview, World No. 4 made this revelation when he was asked about his liking for football and if he still plays the sport. Medvedev was quick to reveal that while he loved playing football when he was a teenager, he stopped at one point.

He was then asked about the tennis player who is really good at the sport. Medvedev was quick to take Sinner’s name, but he also revealed that he had only heard about it and had not yet seen the Italian play football.

I used to love it when I was a teenager. I didn't show anything crazy, but something worked, I knew how to choose the right position. Then I stopped...As I heard, Jannik Sinner plays very well. But I haven't seen it, so I can't say for sure. Daniil Medvedev said to Sport Express.

Daniil Medvedev is ready to root for CSKA again

When Daniil Medvedev was asked about his love for football and the club he used to follow, the Russian ace was named CSKA. Although he could not state the reason behind it, Medvedev said that he was a big supporter of the football club.

The 28-year-old then said that while he had switched to supporting Rostov because of his father, he was ready to cheer for CSKA again after the club promised a restart.

Yes, I remember that when I was little, I supported CSKA very much. Why was this? To be honest, I don’t even remember. Then I began to support Rostov a little more, because my father supports this team. If I have more free time, we’ll see, maybe I’ll start rooting for CSKA again! Daniil Medvedev said.

In terms of Daniil Medvedev’s tennis, the Russian ace has had a fantastic season so far, making it to two finals and two semifinals. While the Russian lost to Jannik Sinner in the Australian Open final and to Carlos Alcaraz in the Indian Wells final, he lost to Ugo Humbert in Dubai and to Sinner again in Miami.

The 2021 US Open champion will now be focused on the claycourt season. Medvedev received a bye in the first round of the Monte Carlo Masters and will open his campaign against Gael Monfils in the second round.
