Medvedev has quashed all the possibilities of hopelessness. In fact, the 27-year-old said that he is dreaming more than ever. Medvedev said that he was hungry for a win and that is the reason he made it to another final. The Russian ace also said that it is him, a 27-year-old dreaming and not just a kid.

Yeah, different feelings, different circumstances, I would say. Now I'm dreaming more than ever, probably not today, but in general in life. But I would say it's not anymore a kid who is dreaming. It's me myself right now, a 27-year-old who is dreaming, and who's doing everything that is possible for my future and for my present. I love it. That's why I made it to the final. Daniil Medvedev said.

Daniil Medvedev subtly asks to not compare this final with one against Rafael Nadal

Daniil Medvedev lost to Jannik Sinner 6-3, 6-3, 4-6, 4-6, 3-6. In 2022, he was defeated by Rafael Nadal in five sets of 2-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, 7-5. While the two losses are pretty similar in nature, Medvedev feels there is a difference. The 27-year-old then also subtly asked reporters to not ask this question again.

Yeah, the scoreline is similar but I think the match would be a bit different. But yeah, probably next question someone is going to ask me about today and then I'm going to answer (smiling). Daniil Medvedev said.

Notably, Medvedev seemed to struggle with his fitness as the Russian could not move as freely as in the first two sets. While Medvedev was returning anything and everything with ease till the end of the second set, the World No.3 could not hold his shape on most occasions thereafter.

This meant that Medvedev could only win eleven games in the next three sets as compared to his 12 in the first two. Nevertheless, as already stated, the Russian has not yet given up.
