Kyrgios & Andreescu win again in Dubai to close up on final

Nick Kyrgios and Bianca Andreescu proved to be the winning pairing for The Eagles.

The Eagles are taking on The Hawks at the 2022 World Tennis League in a tie that will most probably decide the finalist of the event. It started with a double match between Nick Kyrgiod and Bianca Andreescu against Dominic Thiem and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

Kyrgios snd Andreescu broke early in the first set and they kept their advantage to win the first set 6-4 in 31 minutes. Every game counts at the World Tennis League and so The Eagles had to fight also in the second set.

They started well as they got an early break again. But this time, Thiem and Pavlyuchenkova managed to break back and add one more break to win the second set 6-4 and force a deciding super tie-break.

Despite hitting two double faults, The Eagles won the super tie-break 10-7 to get an important extra point for their team. In the upcoming women’s singles match, Caroline Garcia (The Eagles) will play against Elena Rybakina (The Hawks).
